Chennai look for second IPL win

The Chennai Super Kings will be with out Andrew Flintoff for the rest of their IPL campaign. The England all-rounder has returned home after he injured his knee.

Chennai have had inconsistent form in the competition so far and have only won one of their three games. However one player who has been performing is veteran Australian batman, Matthew Hayden. He is currently the tournaments' top scorer with 166 runs.

Team coach and former New Zealand Captain Stephen Fleming s! ays Hayden owes his form to his off the pitch hobby, surfing.

"He's been surfing really well and his surfing form has carried over to his batting form. A relaxed and an in form Matthew Hayden is very good company and is good for the side. It is an example of how you can have a different approach to cricket without battering yourself in the nets and he is also providing some good leadership."

On Saturday, Chennai face The Kolkata Knight Riders at Newlands. Fleming says they are good team on paper but now they need to translate that to the pitch.

"Dehli were certainly impressive on Thursday night and each team has got some real strength's so. We feel confident on paper we are a good side but our record in the competition so far suggests that we haven't quite got it right."
