Thursday, June 4th, 2009According to solomoto.es about a month ago, there was a secret talk between Respol company with Lorenzo's management. When the rumor burst out, Repsol's Corporate Direction, Begoña Elices, stated they don't expect to lose Pedrosa but the situation is just not 'that good' to retain Pedro in Repsol Honda.
That was a shock news actually, maybe Repsol started to get tired because Pedrosa doesn't deliver the world champion until now.
Elices also stressed out that the contract between Repsol and HRC is not a priority now, the result is more important, this could means, if Pedrosa adn Honda doesn't deliver this season, Repsol may take two options:
1. Leave Honda and go to another team (which is very unlikely to happen very soon)
2. Sack Pedrosa and put Lorenzo in, as Elices admitted they ARE proposing it now to Lorenzo's management.
